Responsible Project Lead for O&M and Capital projects Required to establish funding, provide Basis of Design and Scopes of Work and creating the Project Execution Plan and maintaining thru Start-Up. Managing the Engineering and supervising the Project Execution for multiple projects running parallel. Projects range from 200k to 20mm with variable risk and complexity. Managing and coordinating for Operations, Engineering. I was responsible for HSSEE and construction in a Brown & Green Field environment. Project Management Services contracted as a representative for BP Alaska.

Helping to create the CPPM or construction processes and procedures and ensuring any deviation is approved and recorded. Utilizing processes and field updates and walk downs to manage scope and avoid design changes in the field.

Created maintenance, Frequency Proof Test Procedures that allowed complete life cycle of the safety systems, through testing.

Valdez Oil Terminal – Anchorage, Alaska

Principal Instrument Designer on the Valdez Oil Terminal for Alyeska Pipeline Services Co. Verified that engineering standards were followed and that design was technically correct and that it was complete for construction and plant documentation.

Project Engineering Manager. Led project for refinery control system revamp and modernization project including funding requests and complete execution/ implementation. Managed multiple contractors and service providers. Projects included complete upgrade from pneumatic controls to DCS/ PLC based controls in FCC, Coker, Boiler House and Sulfur Recovery Units.

Manager Engineering & Construction Central America based in El Salvador. Managed multiple projects including two separate diesel powered power plants totaling 153 megawatts. Provided over site management utilizing several contract companies to rebuild countries power grid, railway system, pipeline networks and road system during and following the civil war.

Provided instrumentation and control systems and Electrical client oversight on Aruba project team in engineering contractor’s office. Provided on-site field construction and pre-commissioning management in Aruba refinery as owners representative.

Texaco Chemical

Manager of Engineering and Construction on central control room and plant modernization project. Plant required upgrade from pneumatic and Modicon PLC controls to new Honeywell Process Manager system. New piping upgrading from 150# class valves to 300# minimum control valves. Five year multi-billion project completed on schedule and budget.
