Job Description:

Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements

Plan and design major civil projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, water and waste management systems and structural steel fabrications. Monitor air, water and soil quality and develop procedures to clean up contaminated sites

Develop construction specifications and procedures. Conduct field services for civil works

Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials

Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work

Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations

Establish and monitor construction work schedules

Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional traffic studies, environmental impact studies or other investigations

Responsible for:

Study in detail the construction drawings & specifications and ensure that the works are executed accordingly

Delegate weekly targets to the site engineer and supervisors, and ensure that these targets are achieved in time. Prepare and maintain the daily work record.

Manpower scheduling and allocation of the same for the necessary activities

Prepare inspection requests for the various activities and obtain the necessary approvals from the consultant. Planning, scheduling and optimum usage of plant and machinery

Coordinate with safety officer and ensure necessary safety procedures are followed at site.

Monitor the productivity level of work force and the quality of work of subcontractors working at site.

Coordinate the MEP and other subcontract works and ensure the smooth progress of the works.

Prepare report on the planned and achieved work progress weekly.

Attend weekly site meeting & implement the actions and corrective actions assigned in the weekly meeting.

Coordinate with QC & QS and assure the qualities of the works are executed by the subcontractors.

Ensure the defects / snags are attended and the works are handed over on schedule.

Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.

Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.

Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.

Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.

Ensure daily project execution activities in the site, by coordinating between Client, Consultant.
