Proportioned humanitarian assistance to refugees from different countries and cultures through counseling, psychological, social work, case management, educational and recreational activities. Developed forms of community support for refugees from Burma to create independence and overcoming co-dependency.
Internship Gulf Coast Community Care 2005 – 2006
Studied cases of patients who have mental health problems (i.e. major depression, schizophrenia, among others). Organized recreational activities for patients in need of social support. Attended AA meeting with patients for emotional support.
