Airports Engineer / Senior Project Manager, PACA Projects Department and TC 2008 – present
Airports Engineer/ Senior Project Manager that is responsible for defining, planning, managing and delivering project management and control on a complex 300+ Million Omani Riyals project (Salalah International Airport), in addition to other complex 200 Million Omani Riyals project (Cargo Complex and MRO Building) to meet both customer and business requirements to ensure the project is delivered within its objectives and in accordance with the Project Master/Execution Plan. This involves, amongst other, the following:
Ensuring adequate development of scope in accordance with WBS (work breakdown structure)
Tender evaluation and negotiations
Managing the delivery of contractual deliverables
Ensure adequate structuring for the project resources including external consultants
Stakeholder Management
Integration of deliverables
Requirements & Acceptance activities
Project Management Governance including compliance with EDMS (electronic document management system)
Ensuring project compliance to Quality Requirements in accordance with project documentation and governance
Ensuring compliance with H&S requirements
Monitoring and reporting on Programme, Cost and Contractual issues
Active participation in Value Engineering and Risk Management workshops
Continuous coordination and liaison with Contractors and their subcontractors to ensure queries and issues are resolved adequately
Liaison with various Authorities and Stakeholders to ensure permits are in place

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Poetry, Arabic Calligraphy and Painting; I used to be a sculptor in the 1970s; this has now become a rare.
