Served as the lead Recruiter for the College of Applied Sciences and Arts and represented CASA at SIU Open Houses. Served as the Faculty University Associate for SIU Ambassadors. Hosted recruitment events, developed communication pieces, and worked on grant proposals with the CASA faculty to strengthen CASA degree program funding streams. Proposal Developer and HIPAA Privacy Officer – Midwest Medical Practice Management Inc. (4/1/15 to 9/1/17). Developed HIPAA privacy security training and proposal and led bid development for medical billing service contracts (part-time basis). Illinois Board of Higher Education FY 2008 - 2009 Higher Education Cooperation Act Innovation Grant for $277,760 per year to implement the SIU Service Centers for College and Career Planning initiative with participating community colleges throughout the region. I served as lead grant writer, Project Director, and SIU Service Center Director. Co-grant Applicant – SIUC Reflective Responsive Grant Funding from the Illinois Regional Office of Education to fund the SIUC Mentorship Academy for College and Career Readiness. Principle Investigator was Cynthia Sims, Ed.D, Funding $30,000. Served as grant writer, project assistant, and career coach trainer to SIUC students and high school student participants exploring high job growth occupations and careers. Co-grant Applicant - Lake County Summer Youth Evaluation Project, Lake County Workforce Investment Board, Waukegan, Illinois (2005 and 2006). Grant funded at

$35,000 per year. Principle Investigator was Beth Freeburg, Ph.D. Served as lead grant writer and lead effort which involved 15 graduate students creating curriculum and leading classroom training with 400 disadvantaged youth from across Chicago, Illinois. 4

My Occupational Interests Card Sort game was created to score interest in working in the nation’s fastest growing occupations using an easy, fun, interactive classroom tool. The game is available for sale to teachers, parents, and workforce development organizations and will be used for further career development research studies with future populations.
