Plate Department Manager

Recruited to manage day-to-day operations and to ensure production schedules were completed in a timely manner while also ensuring Quality of all pipe fittings produced in the department were of the highest standards.

Plan, coordinate and oversee 20 personnel in the production of large pipe fittings ranging from 8” to 42” in diameter. Oversaw the interaction and flow of fittings thru different stages of production ranging from welding to X-Ray, Grinding to Machining to proper length and bevel angle. Achieved and maintained a 100% on time delivery with a 5% ahead of schedule delivery. Improving the departments delivery rate by 7% over the previous year’s rating. Ensured all Job Safety Analysis’s were up-to-date and specifically followed by all production specialties. Reduced shop expendable’s usage by a margin of 5%. Key Achievements:

LATHAM POOL PRODUCTS – Bossier City, LA 2015-2016

Production Manager

Recruited to manage day-to-day operations and to ensure appropriate construction and on-time production of swimming pool liners and pool covers.

Plan, coordinate and oversee 56 personnel in RF and Hot air sealing of all pool liners using hot air and Radio Frequency welding in adherence to corporate quality standards. Used line balancing techniques to increase liner production by 15% in a single season. Developed and manufactured new webbing fixture that rerouted the webbing more efficiently and prevented the operators from being entangled in the webbing while sewing together pool covers. This new fixture increased cover production by 20%. Reported the daily labor variance to corporate headquarters. Achieved and maintained a 116% labor variance. Plant Quality Director/Process Engineer

Ensured all Departments adhere to all API 6A and Q1 standards by controlling the accuracy of all documents so that company products were of the highest quality produced.

Performed daily Forms Audits of all the controlled forms used on a daily basis within the Valveworks’ facility to ensure accuracy of all information for traceability according to API 6A and Q1 standards.

Developed and fabricated the new high pressure valve testing system to ensure valve pressure checks were accomplished in accordance with API 6A and Valveworks’ quality system. These testing units replaced the hand written document thereby preventing any errors and also doubled the amount of valves that are tested on a daily basis.

Responsible for plant layout and repair for the M117 bomb Demil operation after catastrophic fire. Brought plant online 3 months ahead of schedule.

Performed FME&A’s & PHA’s for M117 Bomb Demilitarization, TNT reclamation and Explosives crushing process.

Directed the production and launch of all product lines for the GMT355 Midbox Program. Coordinated the integration of midbox onto the GMT355 commercial fleet. Established and enhanced relationships with suppliers. Defined and updated PFMEA and FEMA, control plans, and work instruction documents for program.

Given additional responsibility as Part Acceptance Program Coordinator for the GMT355 Colorado Extreme, GMT355 Colorado/Canyon Sunroof and Hummer 3 Street Edition programs.
