As a Team member, the areas of responsibility were to maintain adequate stock of resale items, Identify any obvious spoilage, damage, and out-of-date merchandise. Department of Defense Finance and Accounting Military Pay Technician Fort Sill, OK 11/2015- 08/ 2016

As a Military Pay Technician, my primary responsibilities included a wide variety of standard pay actions. Prepared weekly orientation briefing for newly assigned military personnel, prepared incoming packets that included Leave and earning statement (LES) assignment orders, travel documents and recertification of housing. Reviewed all documents ensuring they were completed with signatures, date stamped and certified by pay technician, scanned and emailed to appropriate department and filed according to date processed. Entered pay transactions into the automated pay system, made standard adjustments to pay accounts if necessary. Provides one-on-one customer service to military members assisting and explaining standard pay entitlements, answered inquiries in regard to cost-of-living adjustments, travel entitlements for relocation. I was responsible for creating spreadsheet inputting information for weekly production and phone logs from 11 staff members. I also created excel spreadsheet for travel vouchers that included the names of each service member there last 4 of their social, dates inputted and the amount that was disbursed.

Department of the Army Human Resources Assistant Fort Sill, OK 8/2011-10/15

Office automation skills included answering phones, scheduled over 350 appointments per month, logging in customers, answered questions in regard to Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System and Tri Care Medical benefits. Acted as a liaison between Deer’s and Tricare assisted in resolving issues and problems clarifying benefits with Tricare (medical) answering questions in regard to Tricare and what type of entitlements dependents were given as well as who to contact for referrals and age requirements and the different regions and how to request specialized care, enrollment with dental and vision care. As a liaison between Deer’s and Tricare any and all concerns or issues that could not be addressed a supervisor would be notified and cases were transferred to him or her for further assistance. Enrolled approximately 30 customers a day, input data, reviewed and verified all required documents to include I-9 Documentation required for enrollments, renewal, lost and stolen ID Cards. Took pictures, scanned documents to create Identification cards for Active/ Reserve and National Guard personal as well as dependents, retirees, contractors and those authorized identification cards.

Department of the Army Official Mail and Distribution Fort Sill, OK 5/2009- 8/2011

Daily duties and responsibilities as a Postal clerk was to separate all incoming mail placing mail into each assigned mail box. All official, certified and registered mail is metered and appropriate postage is placed on each item. All UPS, Federal express X, certified and registered mail was logged in appropriate binders for accountability. Quarterly postal classes and exams were administered for all military and civilian’s personal who was responsible for picking up official mail, all personal were properly trained in handling official mail and ensured all USPS and DoD regulations were implemented. 285 postal identification cards were issued upon completion and passing postal exam. Mail rooms were inspected quarterly to ensure USPS and DOD regulations were implemented after each inspection was completed after-action reports were created with remarks and deficiencies if any, all reports were forwarded to the appropriate supervisors, if deficiencies were found time was given to correct the deficiencies and an inspection would be rescheduled. Monthly accounting reports were created for each organization a basic excel program was created and monthly reports were emailed to each organization detailing accountability of funds used each month for official mail sent out during the month.

United States Army (Active Duty) Water Purification Fort Hood TX 09/2006 - 01/2009

While serving in the United States Army. Supervise and perform water purification operation on water equipment performed water quality tests. Worked as the section leader responsible for 15 soldiers. Other duties included conducting preventive maintenance checks on over 150 vehicles ensuring 100% operability, reported deficiencies ensuring maintenance logs were up to date and accurate. Other Administrative duties included updating personnel data and emergency contact information and promotion orders. Conducted quality key control for over 150 military vehicles plus shipping containers, prepared presentations, researched area maps, utilizing technical manuals and other pertinent material for training. Scheduled transportation movement for military vehicles, equipment and office furniture for the Battalion. As a point of contact the main responsibilities included scheduling and briefing soldiers on daily mission for upcoming deployment. Maintained 100% accountability on all water equipment, military vehicles, and shipping containers.

United States Air Force (Reserves) Information Mgmt. /Admin Support Tinker AFB, OK 02/2002-08/2006

While serving as a Reservist in the Air Force my responsibilities included Maintaining and reviewing 145 military personnel records for the refueling wing and operations group to include preparing daily orders for mission essential personnel and prepared temporary duty orders (TDY) for Reserve members. Entered military pay requests, updated personnel actions and promotions. Reviewed official correspondences and maintained reports, evaluated training requirements, Annual required exams to flight personnel, monitored and scheduled unit training, prepared reports for the wing commanders for accountability on drill weekends to include those who reschedule. Coordinated and distributed information and managed the flow, lifecycle of the privacy act and freedom of information. Conducted inventory of all computers and laptops to include installing and removing programs on all hard drives, handled all hand receipts for accountability on to all office equipment and software.
