I am a highly professional certified welding inspector, NDT Technician and dimensional Inspector. I have a proven record implementing new weld procedures and training welders to the standards required, reducing defects and related costs. I work to ISO 9000/9001, API, DNV & NORSOK standards and assist in audits from start to finish and I appreciate and understand the requirements and quality details involved. I am dedicated to improve my capabilities and look forward to the challenges ahead.

Key Skills:

Working closely with the design team to ensure drawings are optimised for fabrication and production.

Ensuring the welding processes to be used and design of welding preparation geometry has a WPS to cover material, position and welders are qualified as per standard.

Work with the process team to optimise order of weld runs and estimate expected cost and distortion and limit it.

Writing and qualifying weld procedures and implement them through verification process and into production.

Inspect welding and fabrication process visually and dimensionally through NDT, PMI & hardness tests and dimensions are measured with Vernier's, calipers and all gauges to precision detail and recorded.

QC Dimensional & Welding Inspection

Write up and arrange new WPS tests, arrange the oversight of destructive & non-destructive tests to validate new procedure.

Implement weld tests to bring welders up to specifications.

Oversee gas & hydro pressure tests to design/working pressures.

Inspect and measure fabrication process and approve joint design and make sure there is weld procedure to cover design and material selection.

When needed I would assist in dimensional & NDT inspection on stripped down Xmas trees.

Supervise over 38 International welders with none or limited English.

Welding and fabrication on various grades of metal i.e. carbon, aluminium and pipe work in stainless all grades.
