Role and Responsibilities:

Worked on all aspects of the Eligibility lifecycle, using Java for the back end development. This included evidence collecting to issuing benefits for various Assistance Programs, including Child Care, Food Stamps and Medical Assistance Programs.

Worked on an agile project for the myCase portal which was coded using the Vaadin framework and Java 1.7. It allows for customers to enter in their application information through a wizard rather than requiring them to turn in a paper copy. This system collects all evidence associated with a household which is then written to the benefits application through a web service call. This allows for quicker turn around for customers to receive their benefits.

Last used HTML, Javascript and CSS to create a payment application that queried DB2 database and returned payments to the screen and then allowed the user to make the payments.

Maintained the server side Java code and database access classes.

Helped develop Customer Directory using Java, which allows multiple state agencies to better control the common attributes associated with a person accessing state services. It also provides a comprehensive repository to capture and maintain this information. It helps in keeping duplicate customers from being entered into the system. It allows add, delete, change and access of information for Utah residents who are associated with eligibility and supportive service programs in a consistent manner.

Used XSL and XML to generate Case Review forms. These forms are the primary mechanism for Customers to provide information to Case Workers regarding the overall status of the financial and household circumstances.
