Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsibilities include supervising the manufacturing engineering department and the technical support team for the tool room and production areas. The designing and acquisition of new equipment for automation in production and the increase the abilities of production flows.

Setup a cell concept for processing in production, moving orders from the warehouse through production to shipping smoothly efficiently.

Responsibilities include supervising the manufacturing engineering department and the technical support team for the machine shop and production area. The designing and acquisition of new equipment for automation in production and the increase the abilities of the machine shop.

Set yearly budgets for production development for new products and process improvements.

Responsible for process Validation, risk evaluation and to insure all process remain in a validated state using Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMFA).

Harmonizing of production machining, processing, cleaning and packaging with Karlskoga, Nobel Biocare Swedish manufacturing facility with the Yorba Linda’s facility.

Leader for the technical team that handles programming, machine set-ups, repairs and validations of Swiss screw machines and mills using PFMEA.

Leader for the Manufacturing Engineering and tech team that handles implantation and validations of new products, support to existing equipment and development of new automation systems in the production department using PFMEA and DFMEA.

Development of a bar to box flow through the machine and production departments for a complete automated paperless process flow.

Help to implement and manage Lean manufacturing into the Yorba Linda facility. Trained in lean manufacturing by EMS Consulting Group. Strong knowledge of ISO, GMP, GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA and MDD requirements.

Strong back ground with fit and function evaluation, tolerance studies and design using Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

SENIOR PRODUCT ENGINEER 1998 to 2002

Responsibilities include validation of new outside venders, engineering representative for MRB, develop and implementation of new processes for in house manufacturing and help to improve productivity in production

Bring titanium anodizing in house and validate the process, new vender validation for Titanium Plasma Spray and developed automated devices to help speed up production.

Trouble shooting outside processes and review product for ease of manufacturing.

Evaluating material and design failure with DFMEA, PFMEA and lab testing to failure of material and design.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Responsibilities include design and development of new optical products from design, validation to production release. Also design improvements to existing products including review of protocols and test reports before implementations, defining additional testing to add CE (ISO 9000) mark to products and design input on design reviews.

My production Design and release products include Mini Laparoscope with discrete lens on the image fiber, deflecting 8.5F Choledochoscope and cystic duct access kit

Responsibilities included design of effects, mechanical and optical, also, quoting, writing, implementing production schedules, and follow-up on all materials and vendors.
