Work Experience
Nov 2012 to Aug 2014
Office Manager – Boston, MA
I moved to Boston in 2012 while my husband studied at Brandeis University. During this period I worked in a doctor’s office (cardiology). I managed the doctor’s schedule, billing and referrals under Lytec software. Unfortunately, my moms illness advanced during this time. I then returned home (SC) to care for my mom until her recent passing. I am now seeking new employment.
Jun 2011 to Nov 2012
Army Corp of Engineers – Louisville, KY
The objective of this organization is to ensure proper functioning of dams along the Ohio River. On this particular assignment, we successfully replaced gates for two chambers (1,200 feet long and 110 feet wide) well within our allotted time frame. I was given a lot of creative flexibility in this position. This included developing new techniques, procedures and applications.
Dec 2010 to Jun 2011
Cadata Corporation – Bethesda, MD
Under contract, the goal of this company was to conduct repairs to the aging conditions of the Pentagon Heating and Refrigeration Plant which supplies the US Pentagon. Our group successfully repaired pipe runs, valves and motors to accommodate the boilers in the plant. On this assignment, I held responsibility of analyzing projects from start to finish, as well as preparing presentations to present to higher management. Computer software used included Maximo and Primavera.
Jan 2009 to Dec 2010
CTR Group – Newport News, VA
Under contract with Oceaneering & Northrop Grumman (VA), this group staffs many government projects. Under CTR, I worked for the largest shipbuilder in the world, as well as a leader in underwater exploration. While working for Northrop Grumman I was assigned to work on a team installing and testing the emergency fire system of the USS G.H.W Bush (CVN-77) $6.2 billion dollar project. The assignment consisted of fitting pipe and pressure testing. This particular assignment also required learning complex military blueprints. I became proficient in working well under stressful situations. I also gained a strong knowledge in the use of complex measurement tools, including computerized CNC machinery with cuts within 1/32” tolerance.
Mar 2008 to Dec 2008
PDS Technical Services – Pascagoula, MS
Under contract with Northrop Grumman (MS), this project consisted of new construction of engineered destroyers, submarines, and nuclear vessels. The company employs over 10,000 workers and most vessels hold a price range of $100 million dollars each. The ship that I was assigned to was a midsize ship which required very tedious procedures to accomplish goals due to confined spaces.
Apr 2006 to Mar 2008
Zachry Construction Co – Omaha, NE
New construction at Nebraska City Power Station of a 660 megawatt coal fired power station-
$600 million. Performed procedures according to specifications (complex alloy metals).
Aug 2005 to Apr 2006
MK Industries – Rockland, ME
Under contract with Rockland Marine and Washburn Doughty, this company repairs and builds
military vessels- $10 million annual revenue. These companies basically maintain and repair ships damaged at sea due to ice collisions. During this position, I would often retrieve ASME codes and advise repairs according to proper techniques.

Jan 2002 to Jan 2004
Thompson Industrial Services – Charleston, SC
