EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Schneider Electric, Vadodara, India

Electrical Engineer Project: Smart Transformer, July 2014 – June 2015

Designed MATLAB Simulink model for Microcontroller based OLTC to boost the tap changing under load and reduced maintenance cost. Fishbone analysis method was used to detect root cause of repaint of Transformers. In order to reduce harmful effects of oil on the environment, my team researched and tested various eco-friendly oils to implement as an insulating medium.

Lead and managed a team of four in a project motivated to improve processes. Able to successfully create programs that were more sustainable and reduced the environmental effects of engineering, architecture tasks, and operations. Constantly brainstorming to address pertinent issues and collaborate as a team to propose the best option that optimizes value.

Spearheaded project team responsible for designing a new improved version of the on Load Tap Changer aimed at improving performance.

Successfully created and delivered an enhanced manufacturing process of power transformers by implementing a more reliable and efficient solution centered on a streamlined system.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Vadodara, India

Intern: Industrial Electrical System and Switchgear, June 2014

Reviewed Manufacturing process of Switchgear devices like Circuit breakers, Contactors, and Disconnect Switches. Performed maintenance of SF6, Vacuum, Air blast Circuit Breakers.

Gained knowledge of Industrial Electrical System and LV Switchgear devices by reviewing their functionality. Conducted inspections and testing of numerous Switchgear devices to fully comprehend the usage and identify any malfunctions or defects. Performed manufacturing analysis of circuit breakers, relays and contactors to gauge for optimum efficiency.

Due to the maintenance of 46 Circuit Breakers during my internship, I was able to contribute $15000 as a saving to the company.

Indian Railways, Vadodara, India

Intern: Electrical Traction and Overhead Equipment, December 2013 – January 2014

Reviewed various Electrical Motors used as a driving force for Locomotives along with the Pentograph, Cantilever structures and Circuit breakers.

Responsible for reviewing and inspecting various models of Electric Motors, Circuit Breakers, Cts, PTs, Electric Locomotives and Transformers. Developed a broad knowledge in Traction Distribution of Power to Electric Locomotives and Overhead Equipment (OHE). Through repetitive exercises created a strong understanding of the purpose intended for complex engineering equipment.

Carried out maintenance of 6 AC Motors, 5 DC Motors, Insulators and Jumpers. We did maintenance of 80% of different Locomotive types available that time.
