Globe Union is an International Company, based in Taiwan, a manufacturer of faucets (bath, kitchen, tub & shower, accessories) and vitreous china (toilets, lavs, urinals, bidets). The North America headquarters are based in Woodridge, IL with offices, distribution and manufacturing throughout North America. Faucet and vitreous china manufacturing is located in China.

Sr. Quality Manager Woodridge, IL 2015-June 2017

Oversee and direct the management of the North America and China Asia quality-engineering programs and teams.

Accomplishments:

Established and directed the factory “Double Check” programs and the “Global Quality Council” that provided direct insight where product quality improvement was needed. Multiple product lines experienced 2-10% overall improvement before being shipped.

Used RTV (return to vendor), Incoming quality control, and customer call data to identify and focus on resolving top product issues. 10-20% improvement seen in product lines.

Improved customer product issue response time from 30+ days down to 2 days...which greatly increased customer satisfaction and confidence. Customer support included on-site product support, troubleshooting, rework, and replacement at Customer sites.

Accomplishments:

Established the total quality system and achieved AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 certification within 1 year. The company can continue to produce aerospace, military, and medical products with this certification.

The last 4 months of my employment, I was able to guide the manufacturing teams to zero defects for all product lines.
