Implemented Lean Six Sigma methodologies in simulation projects by conducting studies for optimizing the size of model to run on optimum number of parallel machines.

Executed Conjugate heat transfer for a flow sleeve (combustor’s interiors) to estimate values of heat transfer coefficients. This was used for conducting thermal stress analysis and design modifications to improve product life.

Performed a comprehensive literature and patent search on the latest technologies in gas turbine combustors. Compared various techniques for carbon dioxide sequestration and mercury capturing from gas turbines, with competitors of GE as well as research organizations and universities and prepared design record books for future reference. Project Assistant, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (June 2004-dec 2004) Jet Impingement Cooling: This work involved simulations and design of experimental set up to control temperature rise in electronic equipments. For this, an in-depth numerical study of jet impingement was performed to quantify the heat transfer enhancement in a useful manner. Optimized batch size to decrease Work in Progress (WIP) and increase the visibility of defects.

Performed “Value Stream Mapping” of material handling process and prioritized process improvements.
