Responsibility:

Installation of Server (Tower & Rack), Desktop & Workstations.

Installation of Server OS, Implementing active directory, DNS, DHCP etc.

Central Excise & Customs (Resident Engineer): To provide hardware and software support for equipments supplied under CBEC LAN/WAN project and redeployed equipment.

Responsibility:

Daily activities for call management & onsite support

Diagnosing in case of a communication failure. And establishing whether the break down has been caused by failure of patch chord, IO, Cabling, patch panel, mounting chord, switch/port, uplink chord and router or BSNL equipment.

Providing L1 support to on-site IT hardware calls.

Responding to user service requests for both HP and non-HP products supplied under CBEC LAN/WAN project and for equipment that is re-deployed.

I am working with HP call center as a technical support to diagnose and resolve problems.

Coordinating with different third party hardware vendors for call logging & resolution.

Following up for spares and replacements.

Ensuring that uptimes are met and SLAs are maintained.

Assisting in any application or software installation within the project scope.

Monitoring, Preventive & Training Activities

Monitoring and checking the health of infrastructure hardware like UPS, switches and WAN equipment.

Checking the health of LAN & Electrical cabling.

Making audits to check for any instance of tampering.

Logging and Reporting security violation and deliberate attempt to tamper or damage hardware.

Providing necessary IT Hardware training in case required (not for WAN equipment).
