As an ERP consultant, I have over 16 years Oracle/PeopleSoft implementation and project management experience. I also have recent version 9.2 PeopleSoft financials experience in both public and commercial organizations with extensive experience in business requirements development, process re-engineering, fit/gap analysis, testing documentation and training. The state committed to implementing a Statewide Financial System (SFS), the drivers for change were many and varied. The main driver was the age of the current system and the state's divided responsibilities between the governor's office and comptroller's office. At its heart, the state's objective was to reengineer the core financial business processes. The project team identified 50 touch-points representing business process where it would be necessary for one system to communicate or exchange data with the other. Responsibilities included preparing process flows for the Non-Tax Revenue, KK Budget and General Ledger on-line journal entry processes and determining how they would be integrated between the 2 PeopleSoft instances using SOA integration tools. Prepared functional specifications for technical developers to assign in designing the business services to provide the integrations.
