1.Harmony Gold Mine

1981 - 1987

Position: Apprentice until 14-05-85 thereafter, boilermaker

Maintenance of conveyors, chutes, pump stations on Number 2 shaft.

Shaft sinking: Installation of steelwork in Harmony 4 shaft.

2.Boart Exploration Services

1988-1989

Position: Supervisor then night shift foreman

Supervision of 12 underground diamond drilling teams, and responsible for logging of all shaft and geology reports.

Responsibilities included: Exploration core drilling, cover drilling for shaft sinkers, sealing of fissures with high pressure pumps.

YETWENE PROJECT ANGOLA

Position: Construction and maintenance foreman 2IC to W Pienaar.

Construction & commissioning of new 120 TPH Pre-treatment plant; 50 TPH DMS plant; Containerized X Ray Recovery plant ; and Plant Water supply pump station with all associated pipework.

After final commissioning, responsible for spares forecasting & maintenance of entire plant reported to mine manager Alan Thomas.
