I have worked in the optical industry for the last 14 years. I have held a licensed optician position and at my last job of 12 years. I also managed the dispensary and the optical staff. The practiced I worked for was extremely fast paced pediatric/neuro rehabilitation office providing a large variety of services. Currently I work as an assistant store manager at Lenscrafters. I'm in charge of staff of 20 employees. I manage payroll, training and coaching of staff. Also developing strategies for achieving store goals. Skills

As an optician I enjoy helping patients in

selecting their new eyewear as well as

dispensing it with patient tailored and precise

fitting. Also I'm very familiar with Office Mate

system : eyewear ordering, frame inventory

maintenance, insurance billing and coding etc.

As a optical manager I enjoy working with my

staff. I'm always ready to troubleshoot patient

complaints and smooth over any dissatisfaction. I

believe in great customer service and nothing

less.

Accomplishments

For the past 12 years I have worked on number of structural policy changes and improvements. I have installed and set up office system with insurance billing interface. I have revamped an outdated price list and made it comparable and competitive with other businesses in our area. I have set up a frame board management system with all of my frame reps allocating each one a number of spots on the board. This system has been extremely successful for both the practice and the manufacturers. I have also had the privilege of choosing a lens laboratory that have proven to be a wonderful change in quality and customer service. My job duties included the following : Helping patients with eyewear selection, dispenses and any repairs. Placing eyewear orders and verifying the RX upon arrival on the lensometer. Working with the most complicated prescriptions such as prism at a degree, slabs, Fresnel prisms etc. I dealt with any patient complaint resolutions. Also I hand selected every frame in the inventory and was solely in charge of inventory maintenance. I was also in charge of maintaining most current products in our office system with the most up to date prices.
