NMAC Contract Reports on Tableau (January 2016 – September 2016):

The whole process was tedious and error-prone. Further, high level analysis of this data was difficult due to limited slicing/dicing functionalities. Tableau reports were created and delivered for easy visualization and analysis of data.

Contributions:

Created extracts, published data sources to tableau server, refreshed extract in tableau server.

Created visualizations in the form of Text Table(Crosstab), Pie Chart, Horizontal Bar Chart, Stacked Bar Chart, Treemap and Heatmaps.

Provided key business insights that were not visible earlier such as credit tier vs buy rate relation, top performing dealers etc. which helped formulate business strategy.

Forecasted bookings of lease and retail vehicles, model trends, compliance patterns, and credit vs buy rate using various visualizations and charts.

NMAC IE 11 Remediation (January 2015 – September 2015):

NMAC was making an infrastructure change of moving to Internet Explorer 11(IE 11) from IE8 within a year. However, current version of OBIEE (11. 1.1.6.2 BP1) application was incompatible with IE11 and hence had to be quickly migrated to a higher version.

Contributions:

●Detailed the upgrade strategy by preparing estimates, SOW, HLD, TDD and test cases documents.

●Successfully implemented the in-place upgrade of migrating BI components from OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 to OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 followed by application of patch for OBIEE 11.1.1.7.150120.

●Upgraded metadata schemas, RPD and Webcatalog files.

●Successfully set up object level security based on authentication and authorization using initialization blocks and application roles.

VIN Reporting for Nissan North American (May 2014 – December 2014):

Nissan wanted to understand better the use of Vehicle Connected Services (VCS) features by vehicle owners to make strategic business decisions for which data from telematic services had to be analyzed. The impact of telematics services had to be measured and customized solutions for customers had to be built.

Contributions:

Involved in requirement gathering, setting up joins, cardinalities, and solving traps using contexts and aliases as part of universe designing using IDT (Information Design Tool).

Extensively knowledge in universe development including defining of universe parameters, insertion of table, creation of joins, resolution of loops and creation of classes and objects.

Customized list of values in universes for quicker performance of reports and checked the integrity of the universes.

NMAC Loan Origination System (LOS) (March 2013 – April 2014):

NMAC captured applications, bookings and contracts data on LOS system. Dealer performance and bonus payout was calculated in mainframe which had limited calculation and reporting capabilities. Thus, part of the calculation and reporting had to be done manually which required significant and often led to human errors and delay in payouts. Data stored in SQL server database was extracted using Informatica and loaded into BIDW. This involved two phases: LOS 4.8 and LOS 5.0.

Contributions:

Developed 21 complex mappings by using transformations like filter, expression, sequence generator, update strategy, joiner, stored procedure, and union etc.

Created sessions and workflows for populating the data into staging, dimension and fact tables.

Developed mapping parameters and variables to support SQL override.

Created various tasks including reusable tasks (sessions, commands, email) and non-reusable tasks (decision, event wait, timer, worklet, control).

Wrote UNIX shell Scripts & PMCMD commands for FTP of files from remote server and backup of folders.

Worked on performance tuning, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in various levels like sources, targets, mappings and sessions.

Creating UNIX shell scripts for triggering/scheduling of the Informatica jobs using pmcmd command.

NMAC Siebel Analytics to OBIEE 11g upgrade (January 2012 – November 2012):

Nissan had limited reporting capabilities on Siebel Analytics 7.8. As new systems like LOS, customer portal and external data systems began capturing data, the system had to be scaled up for receiving the incoming data for processing. This project involved upgrading the reporting platform from Siebel Analytics 7.8 to OBIEE 11g. NMAC had twice faced failures on this project from the previous vendor.

Contributions:

Participated in capturing of business requirements and prepared HLD, report specs document, test results document and deployment plan documents.

Implemented the in-place upgrade strategy: migration of BI components from Siebel Analytics 7.8 to OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 and from OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 to OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 version.

Executed the upgrade of RPD and Webcatalog files and troubleshooted complex issues post upgrade related to user groups in Webcatalog.

Developed new subject areas in the RPD involving creation of Physical, BMM layers with aggregates, hierarchies, dimensions & time series functions, and presentation layer using BI administration tool.

Installation and Configuration of DAC (Data warehouse Application Console) followed by creation of custom SDE Adaptors, new subject areas and execution plans.
