EXPERIENCE

2013 – 2016 Measurement Inc. Position of Reader. Work for this position is by project. The company is responsible for scoring, assessing and measuring standardized educational tests from across the country. Duties included reading and scoring essays based on a rubric provided by the subject educational department. Most essays were scored in four categories which are development, focus and organization, language and conventions. Grade levels have ranged from third through twelfth. Training and qualifying are mandatory for each project.

2001 – 2011 Department of Childrens Services. Positions of Foster Care Worker and Supervisor. Served as a foster care team leader supervising six employees. I was responsible for reviewing case managers’ work and providing guidance and direction on their cases, completing performance evaluations and preparing reports for Central Office via Microsoft Excel. I also facilitated regular meetings with all parties involved in a case. As a foster care worker I interviewed custody children, their families, mental health professional, guardians ad litem, and medical and educational personnel. Assessed risk to children and provided needed services. Prepared court reports and testified in court. IWas responsible for diction on each case.

1999 – 2001 Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth. Position of Childrens Program Coordinator. Traveled the state evaluation foster care and Juvenile justice cases in order to judge the effectiveness of partners in the system including Department of Childrens Services, juvenile court, the schools as well as service providers. Interviewed all parties involved in the case, assessed and prepared written report which was presented to all interested parties

1993 – 1999 Department of Childrens Services. Position of Child Protective Service Investigator. Investigated reports of abuse and neglect interviewing child(ren), parents, all family members and by talking with any medical, educational and mental health professionals involved. Assessed risk and referred any needed services for the child and family or brought the child into custody if necessary. Prepared court reports and testified to facts of the case.

EDUCATION

1967 – 1972 University of Tennessee Knoxville. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
