In this 20 week IPT program, I worked in different teams like: 1. TX-SOC (Transmission team)

Team works on Layer 1 i.e. Physical layer.

Troubleshooting is done on fiber optic cables using tools like Spotlight, C-boss, Cramer, Don-river.

Minor team check issues like:

Packet drops

Latency

Slow browsing

Link flapping

Major team check issues like:

Link down

2. MCPE (Configuration team)

Team works on Layer 3 i.e. Network layer.

Activities like fail-over activity (HSRP/fail-over) and traffic shifting activity (BGP,OSPF) are performed.

All router hardware, configuration related issues are troubleshooted.

3. GPD (Major team)

Team works on link down issues for both Wired and Wireless media.

Troubleshooting is based on the Last-mile media.

RF (Wimax, Radwin, UBR) media issues are also

checked.
