Responsible for managing and reporting of an 11 million dollar budget for the Developmental Disabilities Division Medicaid budgets to the Department of Aging and Independent Living Division of the State of Vermont. This involved budget reviews for cost saving measures applying rescissions as mandated by the state as well as managing additional funding from the State of Vermont’s Equity Committee. Reported to both Executive Director and the Director of the Disabilities Division of the Agency regarding budgets and cost cutting measures.

Instrumental in recovering a $40,000 loss from the State on a pilot program which the state directed NCSS Inc. to absorb, we recouped the money and made recommendations to the State so that no one would incur a loss of that magnitude in the future.

Mentored and directed (10+) service coordinators regarding their clients Medicaid Budgets; how much they could spend and what the restrictions were on what they could purchase. Also teaching them to forecast expenses so their medicaid dollars would last the entire fiscal year.
