Resume:

Hello,

I’m an experienced senior editor, reporter, writer, blogger and copy editor who has worked for top media outlets, technology companies and publications including AOL, InformationWeek, CNET, Information Security Magazine, Investors Business Daily and Tech Times. I’ve also served as a freelance writer and editor for corporate media and marketing divisions at IBM and HP.

Currently I serve as editor of Retail Customer Experience, a website providing business leaders insight and information on boosting the consumer experience in the retail environment. The issues I cover range from emerging technologies such as mobile pay to digital signage to traditional business management strategies and how they’re changing fast in the omnichannel world.

I've written everything from long-form articles on tech trends, to profiles on CEOs such as Sprint CEO Dan Hesse, to quirky blogs and daily breaking news. I’ve written daily and weekly blogs on everything from data storage to inspirational lifestyle topics.

During the past two years, while working as a fulltime editor I served as a freelance editor for Fierce Markets, covering mobile healthcare. I wrote five to seven stories a week for the weekly newsletter and interviewed prestigious leaders in mobile healthcare. I’ve also been writing small business stories for a blog and provided recent url/clips illustrating my wide range of writing experience.

I’m well versed in CMS and content tracking tools such as Omniture, Chartbeat, Google Analytics, as well as a wide range of social media technologies including Storify, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I am adept at crafting engaging user interaction initiatives that drives reader interest and sales leads.

I believe my skills, expertise and ability to work both independently and as a team member is exactly what you’re seeking in the editorial role. I thank you in advance for your consideration and look forward to hearing more about the opportunity.

Sincerely,

Judy Mottl
