Project List

Machines and Mechanisms – Kindling Splitter:

oA full analysis for each component with the aid of geometric models of the splitter was done. Static analyses were done and related to fatigue failure criteria. The goal was to redesign the splitter in order to increase usability. A working prototype was built to enforce these ideas.

Design Process and Methods – The SCARECROW:

oDesigned a motion sensing waterjet used to deter animals with the aid of servo motors and Arduino software

Manufacturing Automation – Tree Stand Pulley & Mount:

o Developed and designed a tree mount and hoist to ease the hanging of a tree stand. Design stages and fabrication aspects were explored thoroughly. CNC was taken advantage of for various portions of the design. Working prototypes of both the mount and pulley were built.
