Duties in the Hardware Department include overlooking the manufacturing of parts created for our product. I supervise employees, ensuring productivity levels are being met, orders are being pulled accurately and in a timely fashion and that the products that are manufactured are being built to the correct standards. I also assist with any issues they may have as well as 90 day and annual reviews along with discipline concerns. I am responsible for creating work orders as needed to maintain proper levels of inventory.

As for my role as a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, I am in charge of making sure all orders leave complete and packaged in a manner that prevents freight claims while keeping a close watch on packaging cost. I negotiate shipping rates directly with the carriers and with 3rd party brokers to insure we are receiving the most cost effective rates possible. I process each shipment using either a TMS or equivalent system or our own to create Bill Of Ladings along with other shipment documents and labels such as for our UPS shipments. I also take part in coordinating our inbound freight and check products in and label pallets or boxes for the shelf.
