PROJECTS

Thesis - The Properties of SiC Barrier Diodes Fabricated with Ti Schottky Contacts: o Ti/4H-SiC Schottky barrier diodes have been fabricated to investigate the effect of deposition temperature and annealing on the electrical characteristics of the fabricated devices. o The parameters s uch as barrier height, ideality factor and on-resistance were determined from the current- voltage (I–V) and the capacitance–voltage (C–V) measurements at room temperature. o The temperature-dependent electrical characteristics are realized by performing current-voltage- temperature (I-V-T) measurements.

o The material characterizations were performed using Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES) and x-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements.

• Design and Simulation of Multiple Registers Connecting to A Single Bus: o Implemented 32_ bit registers as well as other individual components s uch as tri-state buffer using VHDL programing.

o The design and control of 32_bit register, buffers and swap operations were implemented on modelsim software.

• Design and Simulation of Nios II Microprocessor: o Designing of a s oft-core processor called Nios II processor with t h e s pecifications of 60 KB on chip memory and interface with JTAG.

o Built a “Count Binary” program using Nios II eclipse s oftware and simulate the program using Modelsim. Satellite Positioning System Data Simulator and Acquisition: o The s imulated satellite positioning system-playback (SPS-PB) data is generated, this data used for the validation of reception hardware.
