Explained and sold memberships for lower back strengthening exercise program through the use of a Lumbar Extension Machine. Employed to launch newly constructed property both pre and post opening. Some of those duties included hiring and training of staff, putting into place guidelines for purchasing and inventory controls by using proven tracking forms to keep costs down and provide exceptional service. First month of operation saw revenue of over $100,000.
Assistant to the Director: Gondola Operations Mountain Village, CO 8/2000 to 9/2001
Created and implemented the fact finding and record keeping of various operational and mechanical requirements for the Gondola service. Developed tracking forms to meet the requirements of the Colorado Passenger Transit Safety Board, Mountain Village Metropolitan District, covering ridership numbers and maintenance costs. Other duties included payroll, risk management and the creation of training materials and manual.
General Manager: Comfort Inn-Monroe, NC 3/1996 to 7/1999

Guided this previously independent property to Best Western franchise by meeting established franchise standards, recruited and trained all personnel, assigned work loads for housekeeping staff, and front desk coverage. Represented hotel as Public Relations Liaison and company spokesperson; also designed fitness center to meet franchise requirements. The success of this property was acknowledged by the numerous awards of recognition it received from Best Western.
