Fecal Transplants for the Treatment of Mental Health Disorders, WFSOM PA 2016 Reviewing the current literature, we found the effect of the microbiome on depression and anxiety was well demonstrated. Since Fecal Microbiota transplant is effective in regulating and modifying the biome, we concluded it to be potentially beneficial therapeutic treatment for some mental health disorders, with further research warranted. Presented to peers and faculty of Wake Forest School of Medicine PA program. Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening in Western North Carolina, MAHEC 2014 After accumulating epidemiological data for colorectal cancer and health screening in WNC, We developed a survey which would assist in gathering data from respondents to identify the barriers to screening for this disease. Presented to MAHEC faculty and summer intern students. Cadmium Analysis of Tobacco, Department of Chemistry, Warren Wilson College 1997 Given the predictably toxic effect of inhaled cadmium on the body, I measured samples for this metal to find the specific health risk posed by various sources of smoking tobacco. Presented to Warren Wilson College Faculty and natural science department students.
