PERSONAL BIO
I have volunteered for many projects & endeavors throughout the past 30 years, including walking for homeless veterans (beginning back when we started @ the Mead Annex and ended @ the Unemployment Office (old Schmidt's Dairy) in Waverly), I've voluteered in cleaning & flag replacement of veteran graves, organized fund raising & benefit co-ordinating for families of deceased veterans, clothing & food drives just to name a few. I have always enjoyed helping & volunteering whenever possible for those whom I have the utmost respect & admiration for, Our Veterans, as my way to give thanks for all their selfless service for our country.
I have been doing a wide variety of jobs including home improvement, waitressing, bartending & home health aide/care (companionship/housecare) throughout the past 25 years & enjoy helping elderly individuals keep their dignity and as much of their independence as possible. Additionally, I have voluntarily taken care of invalid & diabetic family members (including my Veteran father), so I have become quite accustom to making healthy balanced meals to suit the needs of the individual.In addition I have serveral years experience in the food industry & restaurant field. I am a sincere, friendly, empathetic, caring & compassionate person, as well as energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic, yet I'm very patient, understanding, tolerant & kind. Due to terminal illness and death, I have unfortunately become recently unemployed. I have been working a regularly scheduled 70 hour work week for the last 9 months, and frequently worked 97-98 hours per week due to absence or fellow employees requesting off. I am always glad to cover shifts whenever needed, and work well with co-workers & management.
