Work Experience
Tanglewood Park Assistant - I was employed at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, North Carolina as a park assistant each summer 2011-2013. As a park assistant, I worked with the public both at the aquatic facility and the lake managing the cash register, reinforcing pool and lake rules, as well as physical duties such as helping customers off and on paddle boats.
Tanglewood Senior Park Assistant - After working several summers as a park assistant, I acquired the senior park assistant position for the summers of 2014-2015. The senior park assistant position included duties such as making schedules for park assistants, managing the cash register at both the lake and pool, reinforcing pool and lake rules, daily correspondence with upper management, and event planning.
Pottery Apprenticeship – I am currently doing a month long apprenticeship in Seagrove, North Carolina which will end August 31, 2017. The apprenticeship includes building a wood kiln from reclaimed kiln bricks, building a kiln shed using lumber and roofing metal from local barns, and learning and growing skills as a potter.
