OBJECTIVE: Results-driven Mechanical Engineer with a strong academic record seeking full-time employment in the areas of Mechanical Engineering and CAD/CAE which would allow me to utilize my education and gain rich experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Ansys, Solid Works, SolidCam, ProE/Creo Parametric 2.0/3.0, CREO Simulate, CATIA, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project.

Certification in SolidWorks along with Sheet Metal and AutoCAD.

Projects:

Design and Development of Gate Valve: Oct 2016-Dec 2016

Designed and assembled the components of Gate Valve using Solidworks 2016.

Executed Global Interference detection on the assembly to modify the existing one to achieve zero interference.

Prepared 2-D drawings and Bill of Materials(BOM). Added dimensioning and tolerance as required according to ASME Y14.5.

Manufactured the designed parts Valve utilizing CREO MANUFACTURING to get codes for CNC machining.

Documented the theory behind the design of Gate Valve and its parts.

Designed and Developed CART in CREO: Sep 2016-Oct 2016

Designed the Cart Assembly and modelled it using PTC CREO 3.0 software.

Developed each individual part of cart according to the dimension provided.

Assembled entire cart and conducted Global Interference check and executed with zero interference.

Prepared 2-D drawings and Bill of Materials(BOM) for identification of all parts and their materials.

Aerodynamics Analysis of Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine Blades by Using CFD Modelling B. Tech Final Year Project, at PDPU Jan 2015-May 2015

Utilized SolidWorks and ANSYS software for design and analysis of the Wind Turbine Blade. Calculated dimensions and feasible size of the blade. Evaluated it according to the wind speed in Gandhinagar.

Analyzed the blade so that required changes can be made before manufacturing. Used steel for manufacturing.

Manufactured its prototype in 3-D printer keeping ASME Y14.5 in mind and tested it in different conditions in wind tunnel. Results were compared with the results obtained in ANSYS.

We completed the project, submitted and reviewed before deadline due to good work and efforts of all team mates.

Design of crankshaft for Pulsar 220, at PDPU Jan 2014-May 2014

Analyzed the original design of crankshaft in ANSYS.

Modified and redesigned original parts using CATIA for improved results. Changed weight of the crankshaft by reducing the bearing diameters from 25 mm to 21.14 mm and diameter of crank web was reduced to 10.5mm from 21mm which gave us 15% improved results.

Tested results in MATLAB and modified the existing design in CATIA and analyzed in ANSYS.

EXPERIENCE:

Internship at Alstom India Pvt. Ltd Vadodara, Gujarat, India: May 2014-Jun 2015

Worked on Solidworks project which involved designing of bearing parts and its assembly.

Gained hands-on experience in inventory restocking by using Kanban cards. Observed Kaizen practices on the shop floor for continuous improvement.

Used SolidCam to generate G-codes for different milling operations to be performed on CNC machines to get final parts needed for the bearing assembly.

Performed quality check processes on the parts of the bearings manufactured before moving on to the assembly. Carried out non-destructive testing processes to check quality errors of the part manufactured like Dye penetration testing, magnetic testing and ultrasonic testing.
