Check room status report for remaining arrival rooms and advise Front Office of status where applicable.
Monitor all movement of linen and update the bin cards.
Ensure that evening Room Attendant & Houseman perform assigned tasks. Idling is UNACEPTABLE.
Walk Tower and ensure that all room doors are locked, all corridors are clean, no cribs, beds, dirty linen or refrigerators are left on the floors or in any pantry areas.
Ensure that room assignments for the following day are done.
Follow up on guest requests and ensure that 5 /10 standard is maintained, ie. Response time is within 5 to 10 minutes of request / complaint.
Ensure that all VIP rooms and occupied suites receive turn down service.
All Room Attendants and pantry keys are collected, signed in and accountability is top notch. Keys are to be locked away in provided key cupboard in Housekeeping office.
Amenities must be packed from overnight.
Calculate the amount of linen that is required for the following day and update chart.
Ensure that the 11 p.m. – 7a.m. Houseman has a nightly ‘special’ (i.e. special assigned task or project).
Assign a working inventory of items to the 11 p.m. – 7a.m. Houseman.
Ensure that chemicals are dispensed overnight for Room Attendants to collect the following morning.
