WORK EXPERIENCE
September ExxonMobil Business Support Centre Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. – Olefins 2016 – August 2017 Manufacturing Support Engineer, Basic Chemicals Technology
– Remotely supported various steam cracking sites globally with equipment modelling and monitoring work and as a result gained familiarity with the company’s Design Practices and general work process for the Global Support Organization. I also developed modelling skills using process simulation tools such as PRO/II and HTRI.
– Equipment monitoring work involved providing in-depth technical analysis of various historical and current process data to help seek potential optimization opportunities.
– Completed on-the-job training at Olefins manufacturing sites in France and United Kingdom. During the training, I developed an understanding of plant and equipment operations, the importance of instilling safe practices and behaviour in an operating site, and learned about the day-to-day challenges faced by site engineers and operators.
– As Fife Focus Engineer, managed the remote support work provided to the Ethylene manufacturing site in Fife from the support office in Kuala Lumpur. January – BursaTra Sendrian Berhad, Malaysia – Events Receptionist & Administrative August 2012 Assistant
– Joined a training company as an events receptionist, tasked with managing the registration booths at each event as well as resolving any minor issues that may occur throughout the event.
– Rotated to administrative assistant after a few months and was in charge of managing and keeping the company’s client database up to date which involved contacting hundreds of different companies to enquire about any changes to their company details.

The event attracted over 2,000 chemical engineering students from across the UK and was the largest ever gathering of chemical engineering students in Europe.
– My responsibilities included development of event merchandise and organisation of promotional activities. Being involved in the running of such a large-scale event helped me develop skills such as effective communication, teamwork and how to face challenges and problem-solve quickly and efficiently. 2009 Deputy Head Prefect, Sekolah Seri Cahaya
