Product design/Design lead at Mahindra Engineering Services (Nov 2000 – Dec 2003)

American Axle & Manufacturing: Design and detailing of tube assembly for Rear Axle, which includes all mounting brackets, Axle shaft, Flange and Tubes. Reverse engineering of axle system parts. Design modifications, solid modeling and detailing of Differential casing, wheel hub, universal joint, knuckle and control arm, propeller shaft and suspension brackets. ZF TRW Automotive: Designing and detailing of socket forging, grease fitting, protector, and dust cover and assembling of all these components and detailing of this assembly, full airbag assembly that includes reaction plate, cover and inflator, metal clips, screws and rings. Design modified by providing alternate solution, solid & surface modeling of reaction plate and rotating cover & FE modeling and simulation of knee airbag. (Snap fitting is replaced by screw fitting). Lot of ribs added to the cover for strengthening. Dana Corporation: Design modifications, solid & surface modeling and detailing of complete chassis assembly for New discovery vehicle (front stub and rear stub assembly) which includes all mounting brackets, Cross members, side rails and spare wheel carrier. Design and detailing of spare wheel carrier, front and rear side rails, spring mounting bracket, body mount brackets, engine mount bracket and fuel tank mounting brackets. Design, assembly and detailing of different automotive seating systems using CATIA (driver seat, rear seat, baby seat, 2nd and 3rd row seats), seating mechanisms like seat tracks, bending and handle reclining etc.

Magna Corporation:

Design and detailing of door trims, instrument panel assembly, detailing and drafting of all body components, automotive roof B-pillar and A-pillar, different seat mechanisms and detailing of it.

Design and modification of Door Trims, Pillar Trims, Floor Carpet and Head Liner Surfaces as per tooling requirement using Advanced Surfaces and Class A surfacing. Section analysis of Instrument Panel Upper and Lower, Floor Console, Air Ducts, Steering column Crossed car beam (CCB), BIW.

Wipro Technologies (Oct 1999 – Nov 2000)

Finite Element Modeling and assembly of complete front seat and second row seat components by using 1D elements in Hypermesh and connections were cross-checked by doing Normal mode analysis in MSC Nastran and performed Linear static analysis for JCI, USA.

Finite Element Modeling of Engine components cylinder block, cylinder head, liner, bolts etc. by using TETRA elements and assembled them by using Hypermesh for Ricardo, USA.

Kelton Graphics (Jan 1997 – Sept 1999)

Design, part modeling and assembly of various components of Aircraft. Aircraft project is done in 6 phases. Parts includes window sealing, cockpit panels, seating, staircase, flooring and rudder mechanism, interiors, lighting designs, closets, wing structures, cabinet design, headliner and sidewall installation.

Design and assembly of Steering lock Assembly which contains Main frame of lock, Rotor sub-assembly, Stator sub-assembly, Lock plates, Key sub-assembly, ring and tag.

Design of Various Automotive sheet metal dies like draw die, trim die, flange die and pierce die for Chrysler Corporation, USA.
