Resume:

Martha N. Lawrence

*** ****** **** ****** ** ****3 717-***-**** ac25cn@r.postjobfree.com

I am an administrative support professional who looks for ways to improve everything I touch at work. My mission is to come alongside busy supervisors and team members to take administrative and technological details from their plates so they can do what they do best. I work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

Administrative Assistant

Assn.of Christian Schools International, Lancaster, PA 6/13 – 6/17

I was hired at ACSI to support the Northeast Region Student Activities Coordinator, who is responsible for an area that covers Washington D.C. to Maine. Provided material and support to people running ACSI events at member schools, database maintenance, designing marketing publications, preparing material for student events, managed bulk mailings and other projects.

The corporate website was dated and difficult to use. I was one of two people selected to learn Ingeniux CMS to update the region’s online student activities presence. We were given two months to create/populate pages and upload all resources for 15 activities in 60+ locations. We met the deadline.

Payment and participation information for activities was collected in various ways MS Word/Excel, fillable Acrobat forms and by phone/fax. ACSI chose the Formstack program to standardize data and payment information to comply with privacy regulations. I was selected to be the Formstack expert who would learn the program and train others in the office. I moved multiple forms to the platform, learning how to use logic to simplify data collection through customizing fields that appeared based on users responses, and how to calculate payments that were synced with a secure online payment system. I trained three other people to use Formstack and provided tech support while they learned and asked follow-up questions.

The FileMaker Pro mail list database had approximately 2700 records and hadn’t been updated in about five years. This was the foundation for student activities marketing and multiple relational databases, so having current information was important. I volunteered to update the mail list in between other projects, and did that through online searches, phone calls and researching the proprietary ACSI member database. I completed the update within two years and continued to keep the database current.

After being notified that my job would be eliminated, I was asked to train two people to replace my responsibilities. For their future reference, I updated an existing procedures manual from 2012 and wrote step-by-step “how to” directions with screenshots for new programs such as the bulk mail software, using logic and calculations in Formstack, maintaining/using an event database in FileMaker Pro (FMP), printing a FMP event calendar to a PDF for updating the website, requesting checks and processing invoices.

Project Specialist / Communications

LMA Consulting Group / Life Management Assoc., Lancaster, PA (company closed) 9/97 – 4/13

I was initially hired at LMA to support a single executive. Because of my abilities and contributions, the role expanded to marketing, communications and project support for up to eight associates. I managed projects independently from start to finish with minimal direction.

Project Specialist / Communications (continued)

One of the challenges at LMA was presenting the clinical counseling and business consulting services so that they were viewed as complimenting each other. I learned both sides of the business and was able to represent the company through writing/designing professional printed pieces, printed and e-newsletter articles, speaking by phone with potential clients and in person at networking and other events.

Many sales appointments that consultants and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providers scheduled were last-minute and required a targeted approach to demonstrate an understanding of business issues. I quickly rearranged priorities with little notice to produce and assemble customized marketing packets for sales calls.

With no prior experience of writing business or marketing plans, I was given a month and a half to write a business and marketing plan for both sides of the company from the point of view of a potential buyer. I interviewed the clinical director and consulting manager for their challenges and future plans, researched and wrote two comprehensive SWOT analyses, and interacted with the accounting manager for current and projected business revenue. I met the deadline.

Previous experience in medical journal editing/quality control at Cadmus (now Cenveo) and graphic design/project support at J&D Graphics (company closed).

EDUCATION / TRAINING

Continuing education includes writing workshops, learning software programs such as Adobe InDesign and Formstack through a combination of training, webinars and on-the-job experience.

BA in Speech / Communications – Glassboro State College (now Rowan U.), Glassboro, NJ

PERSONAL DATA

Avid reader and birdwatcher, intensely curious about all things in nature, how machines work and why people do what they do.
