PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Canadian Petroleum Services CPS (Toronto, ON, Canada)October 2015 to Present

RAM, CMMS, RBI, and Turnaround Consultant.

Many of Oil & Gas customers worldwide utilize CPS for CMMS Data Acquisition, and Maintenance Optimization, Turnaround Planning and optimization, RAM modelling and RCM Analysis, CMMS, and RBI systems implementations, as part of CPS full line of petroleum services and scope of work.

My role is to plan, develop, implement, follow up, and train CPS customers in the field of CMMS, RAM, Turnarounds, EDMS, and RBI.

Qatar Petroleum QP- Refinery October 1996 to September 2015

Head of Maintenance Planning (January 2014 to September 2015)

Head of Maintenance Optimization & Strategies (October 2004 to December 2013)

Offshore Maintenance & Systems Coordinator (October 96 to October 2004)

QP-Refinery and up to 2004 was having Teroman-EDS CMMS system, with uncompleted flat asset data base, and the maintenance strategy was almost RTF with few PM’s.

As a challenge QP moved me to the refinery in order to improve that situation.

In order to achieve the Maintenance Excellency target, I conducted a long term project including:

Asset Data Acquisition including document verification and site justification, and P& ID mark up, creating asset hierarchy structure via FBD analysis, and cater for BOM

Maintenance Optimization analysis including FCA/ECA for assigning asset criticality, FMEA for PM, RSA for optimized stock levels.

Work Management redesign: Conduct WFD, and DFD in order to create the maintenance wok cycle procedure, utilizing the SAP/PM: Blue Print that was developed via ASAP, Develop work management KPI’s and Trend Analysis, create all the required work management reports (deferred jobs, back logs, EWLA, OWLA, scheduled peg-boards, Resource Histograms, etc…), apply the RBWS methodology for the daily works. Create PTW system via RIS of Honeywell.

Turnaround & Shutdown Management: Create Standard Precedence Networks Library for all asset types up the lowest level (level four), create the SD BOM, and spading lists, create T/A & SD procedures, create T/A Planning, Scheduling, Progress Monitoring &, Control, and Post T/A reports, T/A KPI’s & trend analysis.

Asset Management: Assigning Bad Actors, develop damage mechanism, root cause, consequences, and likely hood factors for all asset, and parts, and associate all to SAP/PM: module, conduct RAM & RCM Modeling for critical assets, conduct RCA for problematic assets, conduct FMEA periodically in order to improve assets maintenance strategies, also to focus or defocus on PM frequencies, develop and maintain Asset KPI’s (MTBF, MTTR, Mech. Availability) & trend analysis to improve maintenance strategies.

Inspection & Corrosion Management and RBI: Develop the functions and sub-functions specifications for the Inspection & Corrosion Management System & RBI system procurement, and the selection criteria, develop procedure and the tender document for the system Data Acquisition, introduce RBI (API-RP-580/581), and implement Capstone system as QP Inspection & Corrosion, and RBI system, work as the facilitator for the RBI team, support the Capstone system end users (Inspectors).

Other enhancements includes: Keep monitoring Maintenance Optimization trend analysis curve (Failures Vs Strategy), producing Solomon’s KPI’s for QP-Refinery, develop, and monitor Maintenance Six Months Performance Review Analysis, Manage the plant condition monitoring system to ensure plant reliability assurance through predictive assessments and analysis, develop and maintain effective Maintenance policies, guidelines and procedures, ensure Safety Critical Elements maintenance, backlogs and deferrals are in line with best industry practices and international standards.

As a result QP maintenance cost had been optimized and productivity was increased, spare parts cost decreased by around QR10 millions/site/ann. (six sites), asset failures was decreased from 769 failures in 2004 to just 23 failures, Turnarounds ad SD are optimized and well planned and monitored, Inspections became automated and RBI results are used to starches the turnaround intervals, and to optimize the Turnarounds SOW, maintenance strategy is now RCM instead of RTF in 2004.

Accordingly QP-Refinery was taken as the Maintenance Excellency model for all QP operation sites and sister companies.
