Led internal technology projects for financial applications and oversaw onshore/offshore team of up to 30 program analysts in researching financial queries and implementing system updates. Managed disaster recovery program to ensure business continuity. Worked on largest project implementation to date at American Express to replace the home developed EPIC Financials with Clarity Project Management and Clarity Financials. This was a major project infrastructure, integration and migration and cost American Express upwards of 8 Million Dollars.

My team was in charge of month-end reconciliation of vendor payables, receivables, and billing/revenue cycle, including SOX compliance.

Led migration to Clarity using SharePoint as collaboration tool.

My team (6 onshore and 6 offshore programmer analysts) managed all month-end processing of vendor account receivables and payables as well as reconciliation. We were using the system developed by American Express mainframe programmers many years ago called EPIC. It required us to do a lot of manual intervention to make sure everything was correct and many times we would get very far in the process when we discovered an error which we would have to then back out and rerun. So we were very glad to join the team to get Clarity Financials on board. At the time of bring Clarity on board, that was the largest project undertaking American Express Technology had ever experienced. It lasted nearly two years but we finally got it in and working and it was very rewarding.

Defined requirements, managed and implemented new Disaster Recovery Program for all system applications at American Express. I also designed CBT classes and one to one training program for over 500 associates.

Recognized with company's Technology Excellence Award Nomination for creating the New Disaster Recovery Program using SharePoint as the front end. This is the highest level award given to technology employees.

Completely different forces are being uncovered and put to wholly distinctive uses. Technology is rapidly ever-changing and much of it goes unnoticed until we are at a fork in the road and have to ask “what options do I have?” Many things will be critiqued and compared to similar experiences; eradication of “bad genes” and diseases will not.
