Principal on Call, School District 46, Gibsons, BC – 1998 - 2016

Upon my retirement I instigated a program of retired principal standing in for existing Principals when they had to be away from their schools. I continued working as a POC through the years, but funding for schools and the instigation of a program for teachers to fulfill this role made it a less often occurrence for employment and I finally gave up my teaching certificate.

I have continued my love of acting through professional engagements as an actor in Film, Commercials, and stage (see attached acting resume). This work is intermittent and involves attending auditions in Vancouver and a day or 2 acting for each assignment

As a principal and teacher in School District 46 Sunshine Coast, I fulfilled this role in Halfmoon Bay, David Bay, Gibsons, and Landau Elementary Schools, swell as 2 tours of duty as District Principal in charge of the Resource Centre and some peripatetic subject teachers.

Navigating Officer Cadet, Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company (Shell Oil) – 1952-1954

As a navigating officer cadet I sailed on oil tankers throughout the middle East, snd far east, and trained in seamanship and navigational skills I left the sea because the long terms away from home would not lead to a comfortable home life.
