Main achievements

Attend dev team to update structure tables. Efficient troubleshooting in different critical situations. Good communication with people from different teams to solve problems in mainframe environments.

Improve of replication (dprop)performance into Data Stage server. Based in my previous experience was applied a solution to the replication problem. Was improved the ASN tables responsible to store the replicates data and could see that the replication was stopped. Based in error message into the log file was verified the solution following in the guideline steps needed to solve the problem. The implementation of right queries applied right replication. The customer could have access to data quickly.

As a DB2 DBA support, I worked together IDT team an interesting project plan. A critic scenario was analyzed related 4 databases in AIX server, after consider some problems that happened as read error of disk and the growth rate of the databases, the project manager from IDT team asked my engagement in the team to realize a migration of databases to other servers. I participated in each meeting to discuss the activities of the project plan management. Finally after done the design of the project begun the execution of each step and all of them executed fine. The conclusion of execution was that all databases were migrated.

Helping in some projects suggesting good solutions to the necessities showed by development team. My contribution during several times was very important getting applications s performance. Gave me opportunities to deploy Databases changes using two different kinds deployments techniques such as shell scripts and SQL scripts. As result all scripts worked fine. The costumer was satisfied.

As DB2 DBA I advised the customer about the advantages of new version of DB2 (from 9.5 to 10.5) and replication tools (capture and apply). The principal aspect was having more security level when is needed to control the access of data into Database.

My contribution was to provide the prerequisites such as check the enough space in the disk needed during the upgrade, the list of commands to be used in each step and the previously DB2 to copy the files new location. I provided all the steps to migrate to the DB2 server and update the instances in different hosts. As result the customer could have a security environment much better.
