Profile:

Engineer Imad Jomaa is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), with over 8500 hours of project management experience. He holds COBIT 4.1 & 5 (Foundation & Implementation) certificates, COBIT 5 Accredited Trainer from APMG, ITIL Foundation Certificate, TOGAF 9.1, IEEE Senior Member, PCI Professional and holder of a Certificate in Management Consulting Essential from Charted Management Institute (CMI) – UK. With a degree in Telecommunications and Electronics, he started his career during 1981 in the Shetland Islands working as a Geophysical Engineer on the North Sea Oil rigs, and then moved to Jeddah – Saudi Arabia to work as an Electronic Security Systems engineer. Working at one of the largest banks in the Middle East, Imad occupied the position of the Manager of General Maintenance Department, and then shifted to IT Division to assist in the establishment of PMO; he was also the project manager in charge of implementing, within IT Division, Microsoft Project 2003 & 2007 EPM (Enterprise Project Management). Being the department manager of Planning & Quality Improvement, IT Division acquired ISO9001:2008 & ISO27001. Gap Analysis for CMMi level 2 was conducted. GRC

(Governance, Risk & Compliance) was introduced & few IT staff members got COBIT4.1 Training. ITIL implementation took a giant leap forward, CMDB received the correct amount of attention and HP-BAC (Business Availability Centre) was presented. Later he took the responsibility to establish an IT Risk Department, ISACA Risk IT Framework was adapted. Acted as the IT-BCM project manager to fulfil the stringent requirements to support the bank passing BS25999 certificate (certificate achieved during 2009). He also assumed the role of IT Project Manager for PCI-DSS project, reporting to the PCI-DSS program manager and PCI-DSS senior management steering committee. With such a long and successful career in the various management positions he assumed, he decided, by the end of 2010, to move back to his country of origin to establish Pillar Total Solutions S.A.L. (joint stock company), an IT management / consultancy & training company with a mission to assist leading Lebanese organizations into moving their operations to the next level of performance.

2005 – 2009: Head, Planning and Quality Improvement (PQI) Department – IT Group

• PQI looks after the functionalities of Project Management Office, Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Planning, Quality Improvement, GRC, as well as Service Management within the IT Group.

• For the period of almost a year I was closely engaged with an IT Governance Consultant to lay the basis for a GRC function at the IT function. During this period, I was the project manager working with the consultant to develop all the required artefacts needed for the function. We also planned and conducted a full training program for COBIT4.1. As a result of this effort an IT Risk Department was established based on COBIT – Risk IT, and I was selected to act as the head of this department.

• Project Manager for the implementation of ISO9001:2008 (Certificate was acquired).

• PQI is also the custodian / owner of the following standards / methodologies: o Project Management, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), IT Governance

(COBIT4.1), Project Life Cycle, and Quality Management System.

• PQI supervised all the IT DR & BCP exercises, and issued the associated reports and lessons learned that were incorporated in future exercises.

2003 – 2005: Manager, IT Planning and Project Management Section – IT Division: o In addition to the standard responsibilities of a Project Management Office, the section was in charge of aiding the IT management in developing the three years Strategic Business Plan (SBP) and the Annual Operating plan (AOP).

o Project manager for the implementation of MS EPM at IT Division (2003 & 2007) 2001 – 2003: Project Manager ‘A’ – Project Management Office – Support Sector. o NCB recognized the need to improve time to market and overall management of its projects in order to achieve the required results. The concept of a PMO was adopted and based on my project management experience and successful track record, I was selected as one of the founding members tasked to investigate and create a Project Life Cycle. The latter was decided upon as NCB’s environment and blend of cultures is truly unique. The project was completed on time, and complies fully with PMI’s PMBOK. 2000 – 2001: Quality Officer – General Support Services Division: o Project Manager for Quality project in General Support Services Division (GSSD) as it seeks to obtain ISO certification for its operations. A consulting house with specialist ISO consultants was engaged; ISO standards, methodologies and best practices were introduced and adopted. Access to the division relevant documentation was facilitated through the design and introduction of a GSSD Intranet Web site controlling content, security and versioning.

1997 – 2000: Manager, Maintenance Section (Kingdom wide): o Managing a team of engineers and support personnel to support the maintenance of 750+ NCB sites

(Branches, Warehouses, Computer Centres, Training Centres, ATMs, etc around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities included; section budget, reviewing maintenance contracts, creating and updating policies and procedures.

o Project Manager for all Non-IT equipment within NCB as they relate to Y2K. Reporting to NCB Y2K Program manager and the program steering committee. 1995 – 1997: Manager, Maintenance Section (West, South, and North) 1991 – 1995: Manager, Electronic Maintenance (Jeddah) 1986 – 1991: Electronic Maintenance Engineer
