help maintained Citi's base security settings script

•One of the scripts I worked on used a MSFT product WebDeploy to migrate an IIS application from one server to another. One of Citi's goal was to migrate users off of IIS 6, 6.5 to a newer IIS version IIS 8, 8.5. The script was able to copy files, foldres, app pool settings, and IIS config settings using a user login. What we were looking to resolve next was copying over file folder permissions and copying over dll's and com objects without creating thousands of temporary users to resetup file permissions and for each migration.

•Another one I maintained was a base security script for IIS. It turned off extensions unapproved extensions, unsafe authorization types. Scanned for IIS folder placements. Turned off some encryption types due to BEAST and POODLE attacks.

•Pilot development for Chef Server, each department was using chef or a similar product for platform management. I did initial setup for our department.

•Published technical articles for internal social media website. I provided articles as a subject matter expert about various topics and responded to questions, comments on citi's internal social media platform.

Developer

•C#,WPF,SQL,XAML

•Project S3Console Software, KnowledgeBase, Network Utility Creation/Development/Management/Debugging

•Management of articles in S3 KnowledgeBase

•Management and development around these tools, inquire for more details

•The project was developed to help customer service troubleshoot issues easier. It had three parts. A search database for documentation/photos/video. Users who had experience troubleshooting lexmark printers, western union money order machines, check scanners, barcodescanners can write up articles, take pictures or videos and add key search words for troubleshooting like error codes or error messages. A new call center employee can search up the article and quickly walk the retail store employee through troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. The second part was a network monitor utility that had real time ip information of all store electronics and network information on the network. Each store had a list of devices in a specified network range. The software would grab the store's IP from the database and scan the network for devices. Every store's amount of printers change overtime so there were no database of devices, this software would scan and identify every object in the store so the callcenter employee can quickly see what devices are down immediately. The third part was a standardize message. As the call center gained more duties like managing T3 network outages and cellular internet uptime, response templates were created so the call center employee can quickly fill out the template and respond to managers and retail stores that they have an ISP on the line and a technician is heading out to the store.
