Professional experience
Lecturer
Times college, Kathmandu, Nepal 20/201*-**-****
• Planed, delivered lectures and supervised to undergraduate students at biological laboratory
• Checked practical notes of students, find out the problems and solved them Researcher (Parasitology)
Tribhuwan University, Nepal 06/2013-01/2015
• To find out the parasitic infection and cross-transmission between wild (Red Pandas) and domestic animals (goats, sheep, cows, buffaloes, horse), samples were collected from field and preserved in 5% Potassium dichromate
• Collected samples were centrifuged, prepared slides by staining with iodine solution and methylene blue and examined in microscope
• Recorded data was analyses by SPSS and results showed that 100% of the animals were infected with either protozoan or helminth parasites and transmission of parasites between wild and domestic animals were possible at the study area
Laboratory demonstrator in biology lab. 01/2013-06/2013 Trichandra multiple college
• Operated and maintained laboratory equipment including centrifuge, microscope and glassware and Performed techniques such as: titration, dilution, filtration, distillation and extraction
• Prepared solutions such as: Formalin, Iodine, Methylene blue to fixed and stain the parasites
• Cultured of bacteria and protozoan to find out the growth rate and identification and Prepared thick and thin blood smear to examined the malaria parasite (Plasmodium) and microfilaria
(Wucheria bancrofti)
• Performed Enzyme Linked Immune Sorbent Assay (ELISA) to find out the sample was exposed to virus (antigen) or other substances that may cause chronic infection
• Performed Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) to amplify a single or few copies of a DNA into many copies of particular DNA sequence
• Sterilized and disinfected the equipment including slides, glassware and strainer Professional development
