Description:

This product “Openlab CDS (Chromatography Data System)” is used by Chemists in Pharmaceutical industry. It is used to perform experiments and analyze data in a scientific manner in labs.

Responsibilities:

Involved in design, development and release of deliveries spread across milestones. I have participated in more than 10+ release cycles to client. I have worked on some critical and technically challenging new features in this project and got appreciation from organization. I have worked on below major tasks:

1.GC 6890 drivers:

Classic drivers were not integrated with CDS. This task included integration of classic drivers with CDS.

2.Method reporting:

Earlier CDS did not have a mechanism to show the method settings in form of a report. Method reporting task provided the parameters to reporting tool which then could be used to reporting.

4.Setting method parameters using automation:

There are few customers who want to use CDS for analysis but do not want to buy the costly system. For such customers CDS has designed a new tool (Automation) wherein few or only the required API’s are exposed to the customer. These API’s can be used by the customers to design their own UI and get the work done. This way the customers can be exposed to only a limited functionality depending on the licenses. To start analysis user needs to create a method file which will have necessary parameters to start the run. Earlier, automation was able to set only a few parameters. Rest of the parameters would take default values. Hence CDS had to provide a mechanism to set these parameters by exposing few APIs

5.Automation tool for backward compatibility:

There are few customers who want to use CDS for analysis but do not want to buy the costly system. For such customers CDS has designed a new tool (Automation) wherein few or only the required API’s are exposed to the customer. These API’s can be used by the customers to design their own UI and get the work done. This way the customers can be exposed to only a limited functionality depending on the licenses. One of the customers who were working on older versions of CDS which was built in 2008 had upgraded his system to a new CDS. This way customer was enforced to build the automation UI code which they had been using since long. Since the customer did not want to build the UI code we had to provide the binaries with backward compatibility.

Description:

ICM method reporting tool is used by some of the customers who have some of their methods developed in ICM and now they just want to know the contents of these methods and data files using some tool. So these customers will have all their data file and method saved at one particular location from where the tool will fetch the files one by one and create a report in PDF form and save the reports at user selected location.

Responsibilities:

Involved in design, development and release of deliveries spread across milestones. I have worked on some critical and technically challenging new features in this project and got appreciation from organization. The tool had its UI part in C# but the core machine was developed in CPP. I have worked on the CPP part of the tool. I have worked on below major tasks:

1: Loading the ICM Client in our tool.

2. Opening the data and the method file from the location which user has specified

3. Read the contents of the data and method file.

4. Create the report from these files.
