Design and Building Tensile Strength Tester Capstone Project, Great Valley Design Solutions
Using system engineering life cycle approach, concept to completion, design and build of machine frame, stepper motor, S shape load cell, strain gage, Arduino microcontroller based Tensile Strength tester. Sizing and selection of components, structural design and calculations for machine frame etc. Expected to complete by May 2017.
Stormbot Computer Engineering Class, Great Valley Campus
Implemented battery low voltage detection circuit for the robot battery. The Stormbot is a robot designed to inspect the inside of sewage/water pipe installation using a camera. This wired remote controlled robot has a controller and robot interconnected using Ethernet cable. Our team performed site functional test at Horsham Township Sewer Authority location.
AGV robot & Electric Catapult Kinetic Kollaborators team, Great Valley Campus
Built a small concept-robot like AGV, programmed few AGV-like functions e.g. following black line guide path, detection of obstacles and stopping using ultrasonic sensor. For Catapult, we designed the stepper motor based mechanism to pull the spring-loaded catapult and programmed the Arduino processor to release the solenoid based clamp to launch the ball.
