Projects

Aug 2017 -

Dec 2017

Pedestrian Collision Avoidance (PCA) application for autonomous vehicles using I2V communication .

Used Webots and SUMO to simulate a real world traffic environment to analyze the problems non-line of sight pedestrians pose for autonomous vehicles

Modelled a total of 2 situations; one with sensors and non-line of sight pedestrians and the second with simulated sensor failure and regular pedestrians

Used data fusion and machine learning algorithms to come up with potential paths (for collision avoidance) for the vehicle

Jan 2017 -

May 2017

Using natural language processing and textual sentiment analysis on news articles to predict stock prices .

Used the Xignite API to get URL’s, Beautiful Soup to extract articles out of URL’s, the NLTK library to tokenize articles and VADER for the actual sentiment analysis Jan 2017 -

May 2017

Predicted stock prices using deep learning neural networks utilizing function- alities in Keras and TensorFlow.

Analyzed time series data (historic stock data) and also considered the addition of various variables (Ex. corn prices); the final list of variables was selected using correlation analysis and a secondary approach using random forests was also implemented to ascertain the validity of results

ArchHacks

2016

Developed a gesture-based care-giving application at a 48-hour hackathon. Used the D3 library for visualization purposes and the leap motion controller and its API to implement the functions

January 2016

- May 2016

Implemented software architecture for a roadway lighting application. Implemented a Connected Vehicle Reference Implementation Architecture from USDOT

(CVRIA, United States Department of Transportation) in AADL (Architecture Analysis and Design Language

March 2016 -

May 2016

Designed and implemented proof rules for formally verifying all queue oper- ations in RESOLVE.

June 2014 -

May 2015

Analyzed and avoided blackhole attacks in a multipath routing protocol over MANET.

Environment was setup using NS-2.35 on a linux machine Publications / Presentations

Feb 2015 Presented a paper titled "Comparison of TCP and CBR in AOMDV routing protocol over MANET" and published the same in the International Journal of Current Engineering and Scientific Research (ISBN: 978-93-85225-03-1), Payal Mahida, Abhilash Menon, Meet Patel, Krunal Patel. 3rd International Conference of Computer Science and Information Technology Graduate Courses
