PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Toyota Industries Compressor Parts America, Co. Pendergrass, Georgia 30567 Logistics Supervisor March 2013 – April 2017

• I was responsible for all logistics operations reporting directly to a General Manager for a new start up operation for Toyota Industries.

• This included the development of job procedures, operating manuals and establishing warehouse operations from the ground floor and determining the equipment required to support production operations.

• The job consisted of hiring and managing a staff which prepares customer orders for shipment, verification of those orders, and ultimately the shipment.

• I supervised the creation of Shipping Instruction Lists from the EDI and sending Advanced Shipping Notifications once the product is shipped.

• I supervised the internal sub-material support to all production departments and controlled inventory of components, chemicals and lubricants and finished goods. • I was responsible for all third shift logistics operations. This was comprised of preparing customer orders for shipment, verification of those orders, and ultimately the shipment.

• My team also provided internal sub-material support to all production departments and controlled inventory of components and finished goods. I provided direct supervision to 18 associates.

Production Team Leader (Supervisor) June 1998-January 2001

• I provided leadership and supervision for the start of a new production department. The department produced the internal rotor for an automotive alternator.

• I was responsible for the hiring and training of production associates to fill the new department.

• Established goals of production, scrap reduction, and training were achieved approximately two months earlier than projected.

• I trained the group of associates to undertake full production responsibilities after only three months. The team achieved 75% productivity after two months on the job and exceeded 80% beginning the third month.

Production Supervisor

I provided supervision to four team leaders and a total of 85 production employees that manufactured shocks and struts for the automotive industry.

• Scrap reduction, increased production efficiency, and decreased cost of supplies and labor, which netted an improvement to the bottom line performance by $600,000 between 1996 and 1997.

• Produced over 65 million linear feet of tubing in 1997, exceeding the previous production record by 5 million linear feet.

• Developed and implemented cost reduction plans that achieved over $590,000 in annual savings.

• Implemented QS 9002 production procedures to achieve certification.

• I was the facilitator for the transition to self-managed teams in three departments which allowed the streamlining of functions, scheduling and reporting. This resulted in an increase of efficiency and productivity.
