Manager Topographical Maintenance

Community professional who improved NAVTEQ Map content by strategically identifying areas in need of product, process, and tooling improvements to meet global consumer needs. Strategically developed new tools and processes to deliver detailed geographic updates to internal and external customers quickly, economically and most important, accurately. Reduced costs by standardizing processes across Map Platfrom teams by identifying commonalities between process and substantially reduced duplication of efforts across the board. Worked cross functionally with internal and external teams to develop new tools and bring these tools to the market much faster.

Built a global Crowdsourcing process to harness clickworkers in order to validate map attributes in a fast and cost-effective manner using automation to add strategic information to the database.

Spearheaded a project to develop automated “Auto Resolve” process in Map Reporter to validate end user data against the live database to reduce Map Report submissions and reduced costs by tens of thousands of dollars.

Managed a work group which developed Mobile Map Reporter that was deployed to over 200 Field employees to use and add updates to the Map and Validate MR’s using smart phones.

Deployed OBI (Oracle Business Intelligence) in Map Reporter to improve data tracking and perform data mining analysis.

Safety/Training Administrator

Drive constant improvements in overall plant safety and production efficiency for the nation’s leading provider of lawn and garden goods to customers such as Home Depot and Wal-Mart. Conduct daily plant walkthroughs to identify safety violations and oversee compliance with OSHA and company regulations. Joined this Tyco International subsidiary producing approximately 50,000 miles of conduit and structural piping to analyze production requirements and equipment utilization in order to accurately schedule manpower. Led a six-person scheduling team, five supervisors and 120 hourly employees. Oversaw unloading, loading and storing of coils from steel mills and picking plants. Conducted seminars to maximize staff knowledge.

Brought on to establish a new automated rolling mill operation for this large privately held producer of springs and suspension systems for tractor-trailer manufacturers. Oversaw 45 personnel and collaborated with engineering to determine opportunities to improve product flow, mill operations and ancillary equipment utilization.
