Working in a very hazardous area. Had a daily safety meeting to go over any hazards that might appear on the job site. Good communication between workers and upper management in the field. Safety was the first priority.

We review the permit and fill out a detailed job hazard analysis that include all critical information, permit data, communication details, emergency plans. Also identifying, mitigating and reporting all potential safety hazards.

I developed my knowledge about the refinery and learned some of their safety before and after the job. I saw a lot of equipment and machine that are use in the field. I saw the actual operation of maintaining a external floating roof tank and many other type of tank. I saw the inside of a gas turbine plant that is use to supply the power of the entire refinery. We also check different part of the process inside the refinery like furnace, columns, reactor, plat former, flare pressure vessels and jetty. I also review many of their rescue plans, job hazard analysis, safety procedure and permits. Learned to always work safely.

Good experience for a training because they give a actual work to a trainee. I practice my knowledge about my course and saw the actual operation of instruments that we studied.
