Self-employed Financial Consultant –2015-2017. Prepared financial analysis and acquisition criteria for a client. Set up accounting systems, processed payroll, and prepared financial statements and tax documents for a client. Successfully negotiated a financing package for a client.

JPMorgan Chase Bank (fka Bank One), Cleveland, OH 2002 -2014.

Underwriter III – 2007 - 2014. Grew portfolio of 30 Middle Market credit and 10 operating relationships from $250 million in exposure to $400 million in exposure. Clients ranged from companies with sales of $10 million to one company with sales of $1 billion, in industries including service, logistics, construction, food service, and auto and aviation parts. Managed and expanded several client relationships. Helped design over $100 million multi-bank syndication for one client who was growing rapidly. Developed credit structure for another client, which allowed it to grow by acquisition and increase its market capitalization by 300% in 18 months. Exercised $5 million in credit authority with no write-offs. Job was eliminated in a corporate restructuring.

Senior Underwriter – 2002 – 2007.

Supervised four to five underwriters, and trained four credit analysts who were promoted within the bank. Classified credits fell from over 22% of the portfolio to less than 6% while portfolio grew 25%.

US Bank (fka Star Bank, Firstar), Cleveland, OH 1992 – 2002.

Portfolio Manager 1998 – 2002. Grew portfolio of upper Middle Market credits from $100 million to $250 million. Clients ranged from manufacturers to service businesses to construction firms. Sourced, underwrote, and booked credit in rent-to-own industry.

Regional Credit Administrator, 1992 – 1998. Reduced problem loans from 20% of portfolio to 5%. Supervised and trained ten Credit Analysts in three markets. Developed training regimen and portfolio tracking systems. Reviewed portfolio credits within the state of Ohio.

Banker, 1989 – 1991. Reduced classified credits in portfolio from 70% to less than 10% while growing the portfolio by 3 relationships in less than 18 months.

Relationship Banker Candidate, 1987 - 1989. Developed automated loan tracking system which recovered $100K in previously charged-off loans.
