OBJECTIVE: To find a full time permanent position with a company that offers lots of daily challenges in materials, accounts payable, customer service or admistrative.

I offer over 40 years of on hands experience in the materials field, with the last 16 years spent in contract manufacturing. Fast paced with lots of daily challenges. Working to meet not only production requirements but helping to insure our customers get their orders when they request them by maintaining a consistent flow of materials and keeping shortages at less than 2% overall. Extensive time also spent in accounts payable, matching packing slips and invoices, coding to GL accounts and processing for payment. Posted credits for supplier returns and worked with QA and Purchasing regarding pricing issues.

Job History

2016 to 2017 Mebane Air Inc., Mebane, NC

Customer Service and Materials Planner. At Mebane Air I was responsible for maintaining the supplies needed for the installers and company techs, managing a small supply room with all the items required for full installations and/or service calls so our customers didn’t have to wait for parts. I also worked with the customers planning daily service appointments and planned preventative maintenance service calls which were done twice a year, consisting of approximately 250 to 300 customers. Also reconciled daily expenditures and credit card statements for month end as well as invoices and monthly statements.

2014 to 2015 Cable Assembly LLC, Whittset, NC

Planner – Buyer. Here I bought wire and cable for a cable contract manufacture, entered all the daily transactions for the stockroom, and entered all daily shipment receipts. Resolved inventory discrepancies and performed all related transactions. Issued customer and supplier returns and worked closely with AR in resolving any invoicing issues. Cable Assembly is a lean manufacture with some of the shortest lead times I’ve ever bought to allowing 5 days turnaround. Also worked as a CSR communicating with the customers daily scheduling and rescheduling deliveries based on their requirements.

2002 to 2013 Delta Group Electronics, Rockledge, Florida

Senior Buyer - Planner. Quoted and placed orders for materials and services required to fill customer’s orders. This included wire, cable, hardware, discrete devices, passive and non-passive components as well as custom sheet metal parts, PCB's and custom-made parts. Interfaced with AP to resolve pricing and/or credit issues and processed any material returns required. During my 11 years with Delta I was responsible for training new buyers in using our software. We used SBT, Coss Manager, and Excel. Did a lot of BOM cost quoting, working closely with sales and suppliers and our customers when needed. Some of my customers were GE Global Transportation, Sun Nuclear, Honeywell, Zefon and Radiant Power. Delta Group is a midsized contract manufacturer with five locations in the US.

1997 to 2002 Mac Technology, Melbourne, Florida

Senior Buyer - Planner. Quoted and placed orders for materials and services. Performed BOM cost quoting for customers like Motorola and Qualcom, using Excel and Fourthshift. Here I was responsible for buying passive and non-passive components, a good deal of my time with Mac Tech was spent quoting the assemblies we would eventually end up building. Mac Tech is a high volume PCB contract manufacturer.

1987 to 1995 Ampro Technology, Melbourne, Florida

Buyer- Planner, Most of my time with Ampro was spent purchasing components, Ampro was a OEM and a lot slower paced manufacturer. Purchasing requirements varied from components, passive and non-passive to hardware, MRO, office and maintenance supplies and just about anything that was needed to keep things operational.

When things got slow I also worked in production building PCB's assemblies or if needed I pulled kits in the stockroom and filled in as the company receptionist when needed, responsible for front office duties. I also worked in engineering, building part numbers and descriptions, entering customer BOMS into our data base and maintaining and copying engineering related documents. Ampro was a manufacturer of high end rear screen projection systems, used by Disney, sports arenas and various US Navy ships.

Some of the software I've used; Fourthshift, SBT, Quote Manager, Coss Manufacturing, Intuitive, Excel and Word, MS office, Outlook and Google Docs.

After 40 years in the work place I can offer your company a professional and solid work ethic and would be happy to meet with you in the event you have a position available.

If requested I’m happy to furnish references.

Thank you for your consideration.
